On 10 & 11 October, we invite you to discover Schaerbeek, the “Royal axis” and the Squares district.
The Rue Royale contains buildings in a wide range of architectural styles, including an Art Nouveau shop-front and an Art Deco office block with remarkably fine decorative details.
Schaerbeek was rapidly built-up at the end of the nineteenth century and now boasts some of the most beautiful streets in Brussels, including the Avenue Louis Bertrand, the Avenue Paul Deschanel and the Avenue Huart-Hamoir, which contain many interesting Art Nouveau and Art Deco buildings. Finally, in the Squares district, the many Art Nouveau-inspired buildings jostle for our attention.
