This Functionalist office building was built between 1936 and 1938 to the designs of the architect Jos Duijnstee for the Rotterdamsche Verzekering Societeiten or RVS , a Dutch insurance company. In addition to its Functionalist layout, the interior includes a staircase lit by superb stained-glass windows, and exceptional ceramic panels by Jaap Gidding, an artist who was a member of the Amsterdam School. Today the building is occupied by the SD Worx payroll administration company.
