On 3 & 4 October, the focus will be on the districts west of the Avenue Louise and the Avenue Franklin Roosevelt: Saint-Gilles, Uccle, Forest and parts of Ixelles and the City of Brussels.
Around the Avenue Louise you can discover the “manifesto” Art Nouveau houses, designed by the style’s undoubted masters, such as Victor Horta, Paul Hankar, Octave Van Rijsselberghe and others.
In the outer ring of suburbs, which were built-up later, there are many splendid examples of the inter-war Art Deco style: villas, a town hall, a church and a brewery. Finally, why not make a short detour near the Porte de Namur, to visit the once-famous Demeuldre porcelain factory?
