This Functionalist office building was designed and built by the architect Jos Duijnstee between 1936 and 1938 for the Rotterdamsche Verzekering Societeiten (RVS), a Dutch insurance company. The interior is organised along Functionalist lines and includes a staircase lit by superb stained-glass windows and wonderful terracotta wall panels by Jaap Gidding, a Dutch artist and member of the Amsterdam School.
